Our Story
Founded by a mother, made for mothers
When our founder’s daughter was born, she couldn’t find baby clothing she could truly trust — soft enough, safe enough, made with intention. That search led her to muslin, the weave Indian grandmothers always knew was best. Nivara Nest was born from it: a small team in Hyderabad, every piece GOTS-certified, because “I checked. It’s safe” should never be a marketing line.

Are Nivara Nest baby products safe for newborn skin?
Yes. Every piece is GOTS-certified organic muslin, dyed without azo dyes or formaldehyde, and finished with flat seams so nothing rough sits against skin. GOTS certification is independently audited across the whole chain, not just the finished garment.
What should I buy for a newborn?
Most parents start with four to six swaddles, six to eight jablas, a dozen cloth nappies, two hooded towels and a light blanket — enough to cover a full laundry cycle. The Newborn collection groups all of it, and the Hospital Kits pack the same set ready for delivery day.
Why muslin instead of regular cotton?
Muslin is woven open, so warm air and moisture escape instead of being trapped against the skin — which matters through Indian summers and again during a fever. It also softens with every wash rather than stiffening the way a synthetic blend does.
Do you deliver across India, and is Cash on Delivery available?
Yes. We ship to every serviceable PIN code in India from Hyderabad, usually dispatching within one working day. Cash on Delivery is available everywhere we deliver, and shipping is free on orders above ₹1,499.
How do I wash and care for muslin baby clothes?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. No bleach and no fabric softener — softener coats the fibres and is the most common reason cotton stops absorbing. Line dry in shade to keep the prints bright.
What if something arrives damaged or wrong?
Write to us with a photo and we replace it at our cost, anywhere in India. Order tracking is available from your account or the tracking link emailed at dispatch.
